The success of the 2013 Saints established a standard of excellence within the Saint Martin’s softball program that has continued to this day. After rolling through GNAC play with the regular season title and an 18-5 conference record, SMU strolled through the first-ever conference tournament with an average margin of victory of 5.67 runs. They would earn the program’s first NCAA tournament berth, as well as the first NCAA tournament wins in program history, winning two games against Grand Canyon University. At the time of this induction, their final mark of 41-16 is still the best winning percentage in program history.
