Over 22 years of coaching three sports, Father Edward Weckert's winning percentage was 69 percent against college and semi-pro teams with many of the athletes on some teams being high school students. He was the first northwest college basketball coach to introduce the fastbreak and the switching man-to-man defense. His 1918 football team scored 123 points and held its opponents scoreless. His 1912 and 1913 baseball teams had a combined record of 22-1 and the 1924 team was 14 -1. As a student in 1908, Weckert had a pitching record of 10-0. He was inducted into Saint Martin's Hall of Fame in 1995.
