In 1939, Frank Srsen was named to the Washington Intercollegiate Conference All-Star team and was Saint Martin’s Most Inspirational Award winner. In 1940, he was an unanimous Little All-American guard in football and was again All-Conference. He was named the team’s Most Valuable player in 1940. Srsen also held the school’s javelin record for 20 years. In 1942, he left college to serve as a Navy pilot in World War II. After his navy service, Srsen taught, coached and was the commander of cadets for more than 30 years at Tacoma’s Marymount Military Academy. He was inducted into Saint Marti's Hall of Fame in 1992.
