TURLOCK, Calif. - Saint Martin's closed out their six games at the Tournament of Champions with a 7-1 victory over Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The Saints (14-10) got on the board first after a
Lauren Diuco single to left brought home
Alyssa Slate in the third.
Mary Dettling doubled to left center, driving in both Diuco and
Lindsay Miller to cap the three run third inning.
Dominguez Hills (6-32) responded quickly, capitalizing on a wild pitch and cutting the score to 3-1.
Sabrina Hicks provided insurance in the top half of the six with a solo home run to left field, her third of the season. L. Miller provided additional support with a two RBI double to left center, driving in Slate and
Paige Miller.
The final run of the game came in the top half of the seventh after
Tessani Dixon's groundout scored
Jackie Schmaeling.Â
Jessica O'Toole improved to 2-1 on the season after throwing a five hit, one unearned complete game with two strike outs.
