SEATTLE – Riding the momentum from their win in Alaska, the Saints put together their best 40-minutes of basketball all season long against the Falcons of Seattle Pacific. Behind
Makenna Schultz' 23 points and
Claire Dingus' 19 points, the Saints blew out Seattle Pacific 91-70.

The Saints' offense couldn't seem to miss all game, as the team combined for 52.2 percent from the field. However, most of the damage was done beyond the arc as the Saints connected for 11 3-pointers. Schultz dominated the game in the first half, dropping 21 points, before Dingus took over the game in the second half with her 13 points.

Seattle Pacific claimed the first and only lead of the game at 8-5 before Schultz responded with her second 3-pointer of the game to tie the game. Schultz then put her team ahead with a jumper, and the Saints never looked back. SMU proceeded to outscore the Falcons 19-2 and carried a 24-17 lead into the break.

Both sides traded a pair of baskets to open the second quarter when the Saints broke open the game with a 10-0 run. Schultz connected on two more threes and carried the Saints with 21 first half points to put SMU up 46-30 at halftime.

Saint Martin's did not wait long to continue to assault from deep, with
Saniah Simpson-Patu hitting just 18 seconds into the second half. On the following possession, the Saints' lead eclipsed 20-points as
Bria Thames hit a jumper from the free throw line. Dingus continued to hit from everywhere on the floor, ending the quarter with 11 points and the Saints' lead had grown to 74-46.

The fourth quarter was much like the first three, as the Saints continued to dominate on the offensive end.
Megan Nilsson and
Bria Thames controlled the ball in the paint, and
Marissa Miller stepped off the bench and joined in on the 3-pointers. Saint Martin's coasted down the stretch to the 21-point victory, back-to-back wins on the road, and their first win over Seattle Pacific since 2016.

As a team, Saint Martin's went for 35-for-67 (52.2 percent) from the field, 11-for-19 (57.9 percent) beyond the arc, and 10-for-14 (71.4 percent) at the free throw line. The Saints collected 37 rebounds, with 15 assists on only eight turnovers, along with five blocks and eight steals.

The Saints return home to host Montana State Billings on Saturday for Pack the Pavilion night. The game is set for a 5:15 p.m. tip-off with live stats and video, along with a radio broadcast by the Bryant and Clark Sports Connection on smusaints.com.
