Strong Start Ends In Three Set Loss - Despite a strong start offensive start, and career night for Mackenzie Carter, Saint Martin's fell to Simon Fraser in straight sets on Thursday night inside Marcus Pavilion.

Nationally Ranked Vikings Topple Saints In Straight Sets - Saint Martin's fell short against nationally ranked Western Washington on Saturday night, dropping a three-set contest in Marcus Pavilion.

Carter Continues Offensive Hot Streak In Saints' Four Set Loss - Despite three double-digit kill performances, highlighted by Mackenzie Carter's 17, the Saints fell short in a four set rumble with Seattle Pacific on Tuesday night.

Kylie Alos Named To Cougar Classic All-Tournament Team – Averaging nearly 6.5 digs per set, Alos provided standout performance after standout performance during the five sets. Her 97 digs in the tournament led the way and helped keep the Saints in many close contests.

Alos Digging Her Way To The Top – Entering this week, Kylie Alos ranks fourth the GNAC in digs per set at 4.86. Her 321 digs is also tied for seventh most in the GNAC. Alos has a chance to set a school record, with her 4.86 digs per set ranking second most in school history for a single season.

Carter Coming In Hot – It didn't take transfer outside hitter Mackenzie Carter long to showcase her skills in an SMU uniform. The junior collected 51 kills in the opening five matches at the Cougar Classic, with a career high 18 coming against Western New Mexico. She later set a new career-high with 19 kills against Western Oregon, and has also recorded three double-double performances.

Hitting The Century Mark – In just her sophomore season, Alyssa Bartlett became only the fifth setter in Saints' History with 1,000 assists or more. On October 5, against Concordia, Bartlett picked up the record setting assist.

Eight Saints Named To GNAC Volleyball All-Academic Team - For the third time in her career, Ililani Kamaka was named to the GNAC All-Academic team, headlining eight Saints selected including, Emily Gooding, Bridgette Bourgouin, Kylie Alos, Annika Briggs, Shannen Sakai, Alyssa Bartlett, and Kallie Langford.

Saints Picked 11th In Preseason Poll - Nationally ranked Western Washington and in-state rival Central Washington tied for the top spot in the GNAC at 114 votes. Alaska Anchorage and Simon Fraser fell in closely behind for third and fourth at 93 and 90 votes respectively. Making up the middle of the pack is Alaska (75 votes), followed by Seattle Pacific (63), Northwest Nazarene (53), and Concordia (50). Rounding out the always competitive GNAC standings was Montana State Billings (36), Western Oregon (26), and Saint Martin's (12).

2019 Saints At A Glance - Saint Martin's only features one senior on the roster in Ililani Kamaka, who is the team's returning leader in kills (213), and digs per set (2.22). Looking to build upon a record setting freshman campaign will be Alyssa Bartlett. Bartlett recorded 732 assists last season, which ranks 8th most all-time already in program history. Bartlett and Kamaka will also serve as the Saints' top returning servers, combining for 45 aces last season.

Injuries proved to be a key storyline last season for the Saints, losing sophomore Emily Gooding, and freshman Annika Briggs, and Kallie Langford. In 2019, the Saints hope to return all three to action, with Briggs and Gooding being the leading and third leading blockers from last year. Joining them up front up is sophomore Bridgette Bourgouin, who was the second leading blocker at 41 blocks in 2018.

Saint Martin's brings in 11 new faces to the team, including transfer Mackenzie Carter, and 10 freshman. The Saints scouted all along the west coast, signing a freshman class of six Washingtonians, three from Oregon, and one from California. Out of their 19 players on the roster, 17 of them are of freshman or sophomore eligibility, making the Saints the youngest team in the GNAC. Head coach Jon Killingbeck was forced to replace four senior starters from last season, but a wave of new talent will help soften the transition.

Bartlett Setting Up The Attack – In 2018, Alyssa Bartlett had a freshman season for the record books. Her 732 assists rank 8th most all-time in program history already, and was 9th most in a single season. In 2019, Bartlett will look to become only the fifth Saint ever to reach the 1,000 assist mark.
