SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The fifth and final match of the Cougar Classic was a tough one for the Saints, as Azusa Pacific controlled all three sets.
 
In the opening two sets, Azusa Pacific outscored the Saints 50-16, with nothing going the Saints' way.
 
Saint Martin's found some life in the final set, scoring 18 points, but was unable to overcome Azusa Pacific, falling 25-18.
 
"Tonight the score does not show the battle and hear this team played with," said head coach Jon Killingbeck. "So excited to see them take this forward and grow from it."
 
Kylie Alos put together another strong performance, recording her fifth straight match with 10 or more digs. She finished the tournament with 97 digs.
