PORTLAND, Ore. – For the second straight year, Brooks McKinney earned his spot on the GNAC's men's golf All-Academic team, announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

McKinney, a junior mechanical engineering major from Lacey, qualified for the All-Academic team with his 3.54 GPA. McKinney appeared in the Saint Martin's Invitational at the start of the fall season, shooting a total of 232 and tied for 67th overall in a crowded competitive field.
 
McKinney was one of only 13 golfers in the conference to receive the All-Academic award, and one of seven to be named for a second time.
 
In order to be eligible for the All-Academic award, a student-athlete must be in their second year at their institution, and carry a 3.20 GPA or higher.
