Waikoloa, Hawaii – After a strong opening, the Saints cooled off down the stretch of the first 18 holes of the Dennis Rose Invitational on Monday.

Tyler Fitchett recorded the lowest score of the day for the Saints, posting two over par 72. He began the day with three birdies thru the first six holes to be two under par. The lefty wrapped up the back nine four-over par to conclude tied for 18th overall.
 
Ethan Finau, returning to his home state, benefited with the second-lowest score for the Saints. Finau shot three-over par for a 73, which placed him tied for 30th overall. Nick Baker was third at a 74 and tied for 34th overall, carding two birdies on the day.
 
Dennis Geissler at 75, and Carter Sheets at 82 rounded out the Saints' scorecard.
 
Saint Martin's placed eighth overall with a team score of 294, beating out Hawaii-Hilo (302), UT Tyler (302), Northwest Nazarene (308), and Chaminade (319). Cal State San Bernardino and Western New Mexico share the lead at 280.
