LACEY, Wash. – Nine days in between their games, the Saint Martin's women's basketball team showed no rust, outpacing The Evergreen State College 75-56 on Saturday night.

Tierney DeDonatis,
Rian Clear, and
Claire Dingus formed a trio that the Geoducks (3-4) were unable to control all night. DeDonatis finished with a double-double at 15 points, and 10 assists, while Clear added a team-high 22 points, with six rebounds, and four assists. Dingus followed up with 13 points, nine rebounds, and three assists, while the trio combined for eight steals.

Saint Martin's (6-2) and the Geoducks were tied at 4-4, their lone tie of the game before a layup from Clear put SMU on top, and the Saints never looked back. By the end of the first quarter, the Saints' lead had grown to 12, highlighted by a 10-0 run.

The second quarter proved to be closer as the Saints outscored the Geoducks 20-18. Jane Sutterlict provided clutch offense for Saints, scoring eight points, and finished the game with 13.

With a 44-30 lead at the break, Saint Martin's defense suffocated the Geoducks in the second half. In the third quarter, Evergreen State scored only eight points, while shooting 4-for-15 from the field. The final quarter proved to be much of the same as the Saints limited their opponent to only 5-for-19 shooting. As the Geoducks struggled to score, the Saints cruised to the 19-point victory at home.
