Jada French Shoots Career-Low At Nighthawks Invitational

LIVERMORE, Calif. – Jada French rose to the challenge on the final day, posting a career-low 78 to help the Saints to sixth place finish at the Nighthawks Invitational on Tuesday.
 
French, who was second on the team in the first round at 82, improved by dropping four strokes and shooting two birdies. Her total score of 160 placed her tied for eighth overall in the field.
 
Kathryn Crimp, after leading the team with an 80 on day one, shot an 85 with two birdies to finish 165 total. Her score was second best on the team, and placed her 19th overall in the field.
 
Katherine Swor saw a three stroke improvement going from 86 to an 83 for a total of 169 and tied for 27th overall. Chalise King struggled in her first collegiate round, shooting a 104, saw the largest improvement of any golfer in the tournament. The freshman shot 89, dropping 15 strokes, and finishing with a 193 overall score.
 
The Saints moved up the leaderboards on the final day, shooting 352 in the opening round, to 335 in the final. Their 687 placed them sixth overall in the field. Sonoma State went on to win the tournament with their score of 621 as a team.
