DUPONT, Wash. – Kathryn Crimp accomplished what no other Saints' women's golfer had done before her, capture the GNAC Championship Medalist honor.

COMPLETE RESULTS

Entering the day tied with teammate Hoku Nagamine, it ultimately was Crimp pulling away in the back nine and winning by two strokes. Crimp (77-76-153) played the back nine just one over par, and using three birdies on the day, went for four over par to lead all golfers in the second round.

Crimp became the first SMU golfer to win the title outright. GNAC Player of the Year, Jennifer Liedes, back in 2016 lost in a one hole playoff.

Nagamine, despite falling just two strokes short of the Medalist award, finished second overall on the team, and in the field. The sophomore played a strong back nine as well, going even par on seven straight holes. Nagamine (77-78-155) was one of only five golfers to shoot sub 80 both rounds of the tournament.

Jada French (84-82-166) birdied the 12th hole to finish the back nine just two over par and place tied for 16th overall. Katherine Swor (88-79-167) saw the largest improvement of any Saint golfer, posting the third lowest second round score for the team. Chalise King (94-87-181) also saw a sizable improvement to help close out the scorecard for the Saints.

Saint Martin's narrowly missed being the GNAC Runner-Ups, falling just three strokes behind Northwest Nazarene. The third place finish marked the highest ranking since the 2016 GNAC Championships.
