PULLMAN, Wash. – Sara Sabra and
Cassidy Walchak-Sloan lead the way for the Saints with a pair of 13th place finishes at the Washington State Invitational/Open.
Sabra competed in the women's 5000 and finished with a time of 19:02.03. Finishing two places behind her in 15th, was
Kya Ramirez with a time 20:15.18.
In the men's 5000,
Kainalu Pagente was the top finisher for the Saints in 15th with a time of 15:27.28 and shortly behind him was
Lance Slichko in 17th and a time of 15:50.23
Walchak-Sloan finished with a time of 2:20.33 in the women's 800, finishing ahead of runners from Gonzaga, Idaho, Oregon State, and Hawaii. Alisha Saucedo also competed in the 800 and ran a 2:23.85 for a 23rd place finish.
Rudu Wani represented Saint Martin's in the men's 800 and came in 17th place with a time of 1:59.69.
Isaac Cortes (9:00.50) and
Michael Harwell (9:31.82) both ran in the men's 3000 and finished 35th and 45th respectively.
The Saints will take a short rest before heading out to the Whitworth Invite in Spokane, Washington on February 12th.
