ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Andrew Boyd led the way for the Saints at the CWU Wildcat Invitational, setting a new PR for himself and breaking an eight-year-old school record.

Boyd ran a 14.87 in 110m hurdles which landed him a second place finish at the meet and first place in the history books. His time broke David Durden's record time of 14.95 set in 2014.

Scott Carter had this to say about Boyd record-breaking performance, "Andrew continues to surpass my expectations. When I first started coaching Andrew, I thought breaking a school record would be a great goal by his senior year. The fact he did it as a sophomore speaks to his work ethic and rapid growth as a student-athlete."
Josh Schulz won men's long jump with a distance of 7.18m setting a new PR for himself.
Andrew Schulz finished fourth with a distance of 6.87m.
Coach Carter reflected on J. Schulz's record saying, "Josh has invested in himself to the highest degree. Today's performance is a reflection of his daily pursuit of greatness. He has big things ahead of him over the next couple weeks."

Landon Armstrong finished fifth in men's 200m
In men's shot put,
Micah Au-Haupu finished fifth with a distance of 14.04m
Josh Eiland finished eighth in men's hammer throw with a distance of 48.75.
In men's javelin throw,
Landon Armstrong finished fourth with a distance of 51.16m
Madison Vu finished eighth in the women's 100m with a time of 12.89.
Cree Bell earned a fourth place finish in the women's 200m with a time of 26.39.
In the women's 100m hurdles,
Gabriela Cintron earned a fourth place finish with a time of 15.28.
Eden Mortensen finished sixth with a time of 15.71.
In women's triple jump,
Margaret Zilla finished fourth with a mark of 10.63m.
The women's 4x100m relay team of Vu, Bell, Zilla, and Cintron finished second with a time of 49.54.
Brianna Cabrera earned a seventh place finish in women's pole vault after clearing the height of 3.22m on her first attempt.
Jocelyn Saribay finished fifth in women's shot put with a mark of 12.48m.
The Saints next meet will be the Ralph Vernaccia in Bellingham, WA on April 30th.
