Ridings' Career-High 12 Ks Leads Saints

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 LACEY, Wash. – Central Washington had no answer for Tia Ridings, who tossed a complete game shutout with a career high 12 strikeouts in the doubleheader split 3-0 and 8-0.
 
In the opener, there was no answer for Ridings, who overpowered the Wildcats on 12 strikeouts for a complete game shutout. Saint Martin's provided run support in the third on an RBI double from Britney Patrick into the left field gap, scoring Malia Pinder.
 
Then in the fifth, the Saints capped off the run support with a two-run home run from Pinder to the deepest part of the ballpark in straight away the center. The fifth home run of the season for Pinder put the Saints up 3-0.
 
Ridings began the day by striking out the side in the first, and punched out two more in both the third, fourth, and fifth. In the final two frames, Ridings left a runner on the bases with another out via the strikeout to clinch the series opening win.
 
Saint Martin's struggled in the field, committing eight errors in the second game, allowing Central Washington to open an early 4-0 lead after three. The Wildcats continued to add to the lead in the fifth and sixth with a pair of runs to make it an 8-0 game.
