Agena, a freshman outfielder, led the Saints and the GNAC with a .410 batting average, .474 OBP, and five triples. She also stole six bases, 35 runs scored, eight doubles. Her impressive performance on the field helped lead the Saints to a record of 29-18 and a spot in the 2023 GNAC Softball Championships.
The All-Region teams are selected by sports communication staff from each respective region and are based on nominations submitted by fellow sports communications members. The West Region is composed of teams from the GNAC, CCAA, and the PacWest. Agena was the one of two GNAC representatives in the First Team, with GNAC Player of the Year Maia McNicoll also gaining First Team nods. GNAC Pitcher of the Year Mareena Ramirez, NNU pitcher Tori Hensley, and SFU outfield Megan Duclos were named to the Second Team.
Agena is one of just 14 players to be named to the All-West Region First Team, which recognizes the top players in the West. The D2CCA All-Region teams are a precursor to the D2CCA All-American teams, which will be announced later this month
