PORTLAND, OR — The Great Northwest Athletic Conference has named Saints freshman guard
Jada Travis as the Women's Basketball Player of the Week after a stellar week on the road in California.
Travis lands her first-career Player of the Week award after an impressive start to her season, which has seen her record two double-doubles and average 14.2 points through just five contests. At Cal State San Marcos on Thursday, November 21st, Travis would record 16 points, four assists, and four steals en route to a 64-53 win over Cougars. Jada would follow this up on Saturday, November 23rd with another impressive stat line of 21 points, five boards, and three assists. Despite losing to Point Loma in that career-best scoring performance, Travis has continued to show that she is up to the challenge every time she steps on the court. SMU Women's Basketball will be back in action this upcoming weekend, as they'll compete in Seattle Pacific's Thanksgiving Classic on Friday, November 29th and Saturday, November 30th.
