BORREGO SPRINGS, Cali. – After a slow start, the Saints turned up the tempo in round three on Wednesday the Battle in the Desert, notching a 287 team score, which was beaten out only by only two teams on the day. This impressive mark led SMU to a 15^th place finish overall in the tournament hosted by Cal State San Bernardino.
 
Max Turnquist was back to his ways, setting himself up well in the leaderboards for a top 25 finish at 222. Nick Ennis tallied a 69 in the third round to finish at 47^th. Kyle Erwin notched a 55^th place finish, Ethan Finau in 65^th, and Carter Sheets was 72^nd.
 
The Saints will next head to the Stanislaus Invitational in under a month, starting March 25^th in Turlock, California.
