The Great Northwest Athletic Conference has awarded four members of the 2024 Saints Softball Team with All-Conference honors.
Heather Ebner was given a nod for the GNAC Softball All-Conference First Team for her efforts and was awarded the prestigious Freshman of the Year as a standout in her first season of collegiate competition. Ebner stunned on offense, as she finished the regular season with an astounding .377 batting average, 39 RBIs, and 46 total hits to boot. The Keizer, Oregon native was also stellar defensively, being a steady force as the team's catcher.
Ashley Goodale was also awarded with a spot on the GNAC Softball All-Conference First Team for her outstanding efforts as a utility player. The freshman from Beaverton, Oregon matched Ebner's batting average with .377 and contributed 52 hits during the regular season. Goodale has also stood out on the defensive side of things as a staple of the outfield.
Two more Saints made appearances on the GNAC Softball All-Conference Second Team representing Saint Martin's University well.
Chloe Leverington (Forks, Washington) was the lone pitcher featured on the all-conference list for the Saints for her control on the mound, totaling an impressive 2.02 ERA during the regular season.
Britney Patrick (Raymond, WA) has been a force in the lineup and at first base for the Saints all season long with a .338 batting average, 24 RBIs, and 46 hits to her name and a near-perfect .981 fielding percentage.
As Saint Martin's Athletics continues its upward trajectory, these four award winners are a promising sign of things to come for the softball program.
