LACEY, WA — Saint Martin's University Athletics is excited to welcome Jayde Christopher to the Women's Basketball coaching staff as an assistant.

Christopher joins the Saints WBB program from Boise State University where she served as a graduate assistant from 2022-2024. Her background is also heavily influenced by her playing experience, as she played professional basketball in Sweden and Mexico before re-joining her alma mater as a GA. Her stint as a player at Boise State included a WNIT conference appearance, honors as a member of the All-Mountain West and Mountain West All-Defensive teams, and the single-season assists record holder at both the program and conference level with 270. Christopher was also a former top-70 nationally-ranked prospect out of Cleveland High School (WA) where she won two state titles and was a 2015 McDonald's All-America nominee.

Her previous professional and collegiate experiences make her a fantastic fit for the up-and-coming Women's Basketball program, which is being built up by Natalie Marlowe in her second season as head coach, who had nothing but praise for Christopher.

"I am thrilled for Jayde to join our Saints Family! Jayde is going to bring enthusiasm, competitiveness, and positivity into the gym every day—I cannot wait for our players to get to work with her! Her knowledge and skill set on the court paired with her work ethic off the court are exactly what I was looking for to continue moving this program into championship contention. Jayde's passion to teach and impact young women to become the best version of themselves parallels our values and standards this program was founded on last August. Jayde will be an incredible addition for this program, our players, and the Saint Martin's community."

Christopher will begin her duties right away, as she will be hitting the recruiting trail for the 2024-2025 season.
