Box Score The Saints had no trouble bouncing back in the first of their two contests on Friday, May 3 as they took care of the fourth-seeded Central Washington Wildcats in the GNAC Tournament.

The bats came out hot as Heather Ebner and Olivia Matlock both drove in runs in the first inning, with Ashley Goodale and Britney Patrick finding ways to get on base early. Mia Zachary would contribute an RBI of her own in the second inning off a single. The game would go quiet until the sixth inning where Ebner tallied her second RBI of the day and extending the Saints' lead to 4-0. CWU would get on the board with a home run from Mitchell, but it wasn't enough to bring the Wildcats back. Hear more from Head Coach Jim Peterson regarding the team's impressive offensive showing here.

Pitching was no problem for SMU, as Chloe Leverington had the outing of a lifetime that included four strikeouts, only one run earned through all seven innings, and her 13th win of the year on the mound. See her thoughts on her performance here.

Ebner ended the day going three-for-four and Vanessa Smoke would contribute two hits of her own in her four plate appearances.

The Saints will be taking on Northwest Nazarene in their second game of the day for a spot in the GNAC title game.
