LACEY, WA — Saint Martin's Athletics announces Danny DeBock as the new play-by-play commentator for Saint Martin's Basketball.

Saint Martin's Athletics is excited to welcome local up-and-coming commentator Danny DeBock as a part of the Saints broadcast team. He previously served at his alma mater, Central Washington University, as the voice of Wildcats Men's and Women's Basketball. DeBock has a plethora of experience with the GNAC and the level of competition that we have come to expect from the conference. DeBock also was named the play-by-play voice for the University of Puget Sound in the spring of 2024 and has been broadcasting high school sports in the wider Puget Sound area for the Eli Sports Network since the fall of 2022.

Danny will be the lead play-by-play commentator for the remainder of the basketball season and will also be on the call for select baseball and softball games later this year.

DeBock is excited to get started:

I have admired how tightly knit the Saints family is, and to represent the program is a privilege I do not take lightly. I am filled with gratitude for all the mentors who have guided me on my professional journey including former Saints broadcaster Jef Lucero who was the engineer into making this new chapter possible. I look forward to working with the entire SMU staff to make a broadcast the Saints community and the rest of the GNAC can respect and appreciate."
