STEILACOOM, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Men's and Women's Cross Country programs competed in the second meet of the season, racing at the Green River Gator Cross on Saturday, September 13.
Saint Martin's placed fourth in the women's 4k with a score of 92 points, while placing seventh in the men's 6k with 185 points.
Freshman Kekaihulali Halpern was SMU's top finisher in the women's 4k, clocking in at 14:11.1 and placing sixth. On the men's side, Elijah Dale was SMU's top finisher in the 6k with a time of 19:02.6 to place 29th.
In the women's 6k, Margarita Mahei was the next Saint Martin's finisher, clocking in at 15:22.8 to place 23rd. Kekaimalino Halpern finished two spots later in 25th, finishing at 15:30.6. Samantha Schweppe placed 28th, recording a time of 15:40.7.
Noe Ortega clocked in at 19:33.9 to place 52nd in the men's 6k. Tyler Scott logged a time of 19:49.6, placing 62nd. Jake Beck (19:55.1) and Ethan Coon (19:59.1) finished back-to-back in 64th and 65th place.
Next up, the Saints will head to Ferndale, Washington on Sept. 27 to compete at the Bill Roe Classic at Hovander Homestead Park.
