LACEY, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Track & Field program saw a slew of positive results this weekend, competing at the UW Invitational, Mile City, and Inland Northwest Invitational.
The Saints saw 20 personal bests, a new school record in pole vault, and seven program top-10 performances.
UW Invitational/Mile City
- In the men's pole vault, Ryan Doidge wasted no time breaking his own school record. Doidge leaped 4.95 meters, placing seventh in the men's elite pole vault.
- Fresh off a program record in the indoor 600 meters last week, Kekaihulali Halpern set two Saint Martin's top-10 marks this weekend.
- In the women's indoor 800 meters, she ran a 2:16.24 to rank third in the record book.
- In Saturday's indoor mile, Halpern clocked in at 5:06.64, a time that ranks fourth all time at Saint Martin's.
- In the men's 800 meters, Tyler Scott clocked in at 1:57.79, a mark that ranks eighth all-time in the Saint Martin's record book.
Inland NW Invitational
- Alberta Samuelu had a stellar showing in throws for Saint Martin's at the Inland NW Invitational at The Podium in Spokane.
- Samuelu smashed her previous personal best in the weight throw, throwing 13.08 meters, a mark that is eighth all time in the program record book.
- In the shot put, Samuelu had a season best, throwing 11.58 meters to place 10th overall.
- Taryn Wochnick led the way in the weight throw with a mark of 13.50 meters.
