Doidge earns AllConference as Saint Martin’s Track & Field competes at GNAC Indoor Championships

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Saint Martin's Track & Field program competed at the 2026 GNAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Spokane, Washington on Feb. 16-17.

The Saints placed seventh in the men's standings and eighth on the women's side.

Field Events

  • In the men's pole vault, Ryan Doidge earned All-GNAC honors with a runner-up finish. Doidge finished with a final mark of 4.80 meters, clearing all three of his eights on the first try.
  • In men's triple jump the duo of Makhi Odoms and LaMarcus Hinton both took top-seven finishes. Odoms placed sixth with a mark of 14.05 meters, while Hinton placed seventh with a score of 13.48 meters.
  • In the men's weight throw, Gage Pedro placed ninth with a throw of 15.44 meters, a career-best mark that ranks fifth all time in the Saint Martin's record book.
  • Taryn Wochnick led the women's throwers on day one, placing ninth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.05 meters.
  • In women's shot put, Alberta Samuelu placed 14th with a throw of 11.34 meters.

Track Events

  • In the women's 800 meters, Kekaihulali Halpern placed sixth in the prelims with a time of 2:16.02, a career-best mark that ranks third all time in the Saint Martin's record book. In the finals, she finished eighth overall with a time of 2:19.76
  • Tyler Scott (11th/1:56.11) and Matt Cooper (12th/1:56.80) both set career bests in the men's 800 meter prelims, but were unable to qualify for the finals.
  • Kekaihulali notched her second top-10 finish of the meet on day two, placing ninth in the women's mile with a time of 5:07.05.

Men's Heptathlon

  • Hugh Ruttledge placed sixth in the men's heptathlon with a score of 3,930 points.
    •     Ruttledge started off the competition with a third-place finish in the 60 meters, clocking in at 7.21. 
  • He placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.60.
  • Reid Crumley placed 10th in the heptathlon, scoring 3,397 points.
    • In the shot put, Crumley recorded a career-best throw of 9.88 meters and placed sixth.
    • Crumley also placed sixth in the 1,000 meters, clocking in at 2:59.93.
    • In the 60 meters, Crumley placed sixth with a time of 7.44.
