Track & Field concludes indoor regular season at Whitworth Riverfront Invitational and George Fox Indoor #1

Spokane, Wash. / Newberg, Ore. — The Saint Martin's Indoor Track & Field program wrapped up its 2025-26 regular season, with multi athletes competing at the Whitworth Riverfront invitational in Spokane, Washington, and the throwers competing at the George Fox Indoor #1 competing in Newberg, Oregon.

Whitworth Riverfront Invitational

  • In the men's heptathlon, Hugh Ruttledge placed seventh with 4,042 points and Reid Crumley placed eighth with 3,322 points. Ruttledge's point total ranks sixth all time at Saint Martin's and Crumley's total ranks eighth.
    • Ruttledge's best event was the 60-meter hurdles, which he placed third in with a time of 8.59.
    • Ruttledge also placed fourth in the 60 meters, clocking in at 7.24
    • Crumley's best finishes were in the 60-meter hurdles and 1,000 meters, which he placed sixth in both.

George Fox Indoor #1

  • In the women's weight throw, Taryn Wochnick led the way with a career-best throw of 13.85 meters to take second place with a mark that ranks seventh in the Saint Martin's record book.
    • Janess Blackburn also threw a career best, placing fourth with a distance of 13.36 meters. The mark ranks eighth in the Saints record book.
  • Alberta Samuelu recorded a strong performance, placing third in the shot put with a distance of 10.88 meters. In the weight throw, she placed seventh with a throw of 12.25 meters.
  • Gage Pedro placed fourth in the men's weight throw, recording a mark of 14.69 meters.
  • Zachary Mandlin scored a personal best in the men's shot put, throwing a 12.90 meters. The mark ranks fourth all time in the Saint Martin's record book.
