McBride will begin her second year as an assistant coach with the women's basketball program in 2013-14.
She joined the Saints having played collegiately for two seasons (2010-11, 2009-10) at GNAC school, Alaska Anchorage. As a senior during the 2010-11 season, McBride helped guide the Seawolves to the inaugural GNAC Tournament Championship while earning MVP honors.
UAA went 27-7 during that season advancing to the second round of the NCAA Division II West Region Tournament while being ranked 12th in the nation. She garnered second team All-GNAC honors posting a conference-best 1.9-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio and ranked 3rd in assists per game (4.1), 5th in FT% (.796) and 11th in steals per game (1.5).
McBride also earned Academic All-GNAC honors as a senior and graduated with a degree in sociology in 2012.
She played her sophomore season at Yakima Valley (Wash.) Community College in 2008-09 helping the squad an unbeaten (14-0) league record and Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges East Region title. McBride averaged 9.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game as YVCC finished 25-7 overall to earn second team All-NWAACC honors.
A graduate of Bothell High School in 2007 she played her freshman season as Western Washington. She was named second team All-King County and team MVP as a senior. A varsity letter winner in both track & field and basketball, McBride also competed in the triple jump finishing seventh in the state.
