In the first year at Saint Martin's University, Lowe and Carter took on the role of successfully hosting the 2021 GNAC Cross Country Championships on campus. In that same season, Lowe led both men's and women's cross country teams to finish in the top 20 at the 2021 NCAA West Regional Championships
2021-22 School Year
Coached Jack Farrell to earn GNAC All-Conference recognition at the 2021 GNAC Cross Country Championships. Jack ran the time of 24:46 placing 7th overall, crushing his previous PR by 1 minute and 8 seconds.
Lowe coached Cassidy Walchak-Sloan to earn runner-up in the mile at the 2021-22 GNAC Indoor Championships. Cassidy ran the time of 5:04.70, crushing her previous PR by 9 seconds. Cassidy came back and raced the 800m final where she also PR’d and placed 4th overall running a time of 2:15.85. Her PR also broke the school record of 2:17.87 held by Joscelyn Minton set in 2012. Cassidy accumulated a combined score of 15 points for the Lady Saints.

Coach Matt Lowe and his wife Sarah and daughter Ellinor currently reside in Olympia.
During his time at Kentucky Wesleyan, the program established itself as one of the top Division-II programs in the country with six G-MAC Athletes of the Year, 40 Conference Champions, and Runner-Ups, and 52 All-Conference selections.
Lowe attended Brescia University, where he was selected to the school’s Hall of Fame as a two-time All-American. He was the 2013 KIAC Male Athlete of the Year and set 10 school records as a distance runner.
