NAMPA, Idaho - The Saints equalized the match in the 52nd match on a goal from the team's leading scorer
Lauren Allison; however, Northwest Nazarene scored three second half goals in the 4-1 match.
The Nighthawks (11-6-0, 8-4-0) first shot missed wide before the Saints' (2-14-1, 2-9-1) recorded the first shot on goal, with
Brittany Orlosky connecting with a ball in the 11th minute. Goalkeeper
Ali Koehler made one save before the Nighthawks took the 1-0 in the 16th minute. Koehler recorded one more save in the first half on four shots, holding the Nighthawks to one first half goal. Kamea Drayer-Hoopii looked to tie the match in the 41st minute, when her shot missed wide of the goal.
The Saints did not wait long in the second half to tie the match at 1-1, when
Lauren Allison scored her fourth goal of the season, a team-leading mark. However, the Nighthawks, after firing off four shots in the following minutes, connected on their fifth attempt to reclaim the lead at 2-1. Another blow came in the following moments when Northwest Narezene scored one more goal to extend their lead to 3-1. Orlosky, Drayer-Hoopii and
Gloria Petri led the Saints' charge after the two NNU goals, looking to bring the Saints back into the match. In the 81st and 82nd minute, Allison and
Jade Castaneda's shots were unable to reach net, and Northwest Nazarene responded with the final goal of the match in the 86th minute.

t go our way this year, the seniors helped us raise the bar and get this new era started for years to come."
Kamea Drayer-Hoopii provided a spark off the bench with a team-leading three shots, one on goal.
Lauren Allison's two shots both landed on-target including her fourth goal in the 52nd minute.
Brittany Orlosky recorded two shots, one on goal with
Gloria Petri and
Olivia Bianco each took one shot.
Ali Koehler got the start at goalkeeper, going the first 63 minutes, allowing three goals on 16 shots, while making six saves.
Sara Christensen managed the rest of the match, allowing one goal on six shots and made two saves.
