PORTLAND, Ore. – After falling behind early,

The Saints' bat remained quiet through the first three innings before
Sabrina Hicks started off the fourth with a single through the left side. Three batters later with runners on first and third, Schmaeling connected on a pitch for a three-run home run to right centerfield.
SMU added a run in the fifth inning on a double to left center by Dettling plated
Lauren Diuco. The Saints extended their lead with a four run sixth inning capped off by Diuco's triple to left field and Dettling's first home run of the season to right center.
