LACEY, Wash. - In their first match, just five days into start of the fall season, the Saint Martin's Women Soccer team late second half comeback attempt fell short 2-1 against Corban University on Friday.
After falling behind 2-0, Freshman Kiersten Madsen looked to spark the Saints' offense with a goal in the 88'minute off an assist from

Corban struck early with a goal in the first minute of action, which proved to be the only offense of the first half, with the Warriors taking a 1-0 lead into halftime. The Warriors added a second goal in the 84' minute after a turnover on the Saints' side of the field gave Lexi McQuery a breakaway scoring opportunely.
The Saints were out shot in the first half, 4-1, before rebounding strong in the second 45 minutes and taking a 9-2 shot advantage. The Saints landed three of their attempts on goal to Corban's four shots on goal. Both teams recorded three saves and the Warriors took four corner kicks to the Saints' three.
Orlosky led the team with four shots, while Madsen had three attempts with two landing on target.
