Late Second Half Rally By Hawaii Pacific Sinks Saints –After taking a 2-0 lead on goals from Mamadou Leigh and Brandon Madsen, Hawaii Pacific stormed back with three second half to win 3-2 over the Saints. In the 22nd minute, the Saints (0-5) struck first when Sebastian Navarro's pass off a free kick found Mamadou Leigh on the left side of the box, who headed in his first goal of the season. To begin the second half, the Saints extended their lead to 2-0 after Navarro once again found an open Saint, this time Brandon Madsen, who connected on a left to right shot for his team-leading third goal of the season. Hawaii Pacific (2-1-1) picked up their first goal of the match just two minutes after the Saints' second goal, when Gerrit Arzberger found his way into the middle of the box. The Sharks equalized the match in the 69th minute when Josch Cuerten dribbled through multiple defenders. The final blow came with just 1:15 minutes left in the match on a goal that just went above the outstretched hands of Griffin Small.
 
Brandon Madsen Starts Goal Streak Brandon Madsen struck net for the third time in as many games in the second half of the Hawaii Pacific. Madsen's three game goal streak stretches back to September 10 against Cal State Los Angeles when he scored his first goal in a Saints' uniform. On September 14, Madsen finished the trip to California with a goal in the Cal State San Bernardino match.
 
Griffin Small Among The Top Of The GNAC Leaderboard – In five Saints matches this season, goalkeeper Griffin Small has played every minute at the position. During those five matches, Small has made 22 total saves. His 22 saves lead the GNAC this season. He currently sits five saves ahead of second place. Small averages 4.40 saves per contest which ranks him second in the GNAC. Small has also played 450 minutes this season, again second most in the conference.
 
Western Washington Preview – Entering the match, the Vikings are 1-2-2 on the season after tying 2-2 against Fort Hays State on September 16. The Vikings lone win came over MSU Denver 2-1 on September 9. Leading WWU is Anthony Dean who has scored a GNAC leading five goals and 12 total points on 20 shots with two assists. Four Vikings have each scored one goal, equaling nine total goals for WWU. Christian Rotter leads the team with three assists. Tyler Visten has made all five starts at keeper is the only player who has logged more minutes than Griffin Small in the GNAC. In Visten's 516 minutes, he has allowed 10 goals while making 17 saves with a .630 save percentage.  Visten allows 1.75 goals per contest. Western Washington has scored four first half goals and given up the same amount. In the second half, the Vikings have outscored their opponents 5-4 but are outscored in overtime 2-0. WWU has outshot their opponents 91-66 including 40-26 in the first 45 minutes.
 
Simon Fraser Preview – The Saints will face the second ranked team in the country in Simon Fraser. SFU is 4-0-0 on the season with wins over Cal State San Bernardino and Cal Poly Pomona. The Clan won their first match 8-0 over University of Mar; since then, have outscored their opponents 5-2. Leading the Clan in scoring is Matteo Polisi who in four matches has scored three goals on 15 shots, with one assist. Rahid Rahiem and Adam Jones each have scored two goals with Jones collecting two assists. Six SFU players equal the Clan's 13 total goals. Miguel Hof anchors Simon Fraser's defense at goalkeeper with only allowing two goals on the season and is credited with two shutouts in 360 minutes. Hof leads the conference in shutouts and goals allowed per match. In four matches, Hof has only had to make four saves. The Clan has outshot their opponents 66-15 and outscored them 13-2. Seven goals for SFU has come in the first half and they have yet to allow a first half goal.
 
GNAC Season Preview – Entering the conference season, No. 2 Simon Fraser leads the GNAC with a 4-0-0 record. Seattle Pacific follows behind in second place after starting the season 4-1-0, including a 2-0-0 record on the road. Northwest Nazarene (3-2-0) and Western Washington (1-2-2) make up the middle of the conference. Montana State Billings (2-4-0), Concordia (1-3-1) and Saint Martin's (0-5-0) wrap up the seven-team conference.
