PORTLAND, Ore. – The Saints' offense was unable to manufacture a run in both ends of the doubleheader with Concordia on Friday, falling 2-0 and 13-0 to begin the four-game series.

Micah McNicoll singled down the right field line. SMU had an opportunity to get on the board in the top of the eighth when a walk by
Bryant Nakagawa and a single
Dakota Hill put runners on first and second. However, Concordia (8-20, 7-11) ended the rally with a groundball to third base.
Mathew Dunaway (0-2) got his first start of the season, but was only able to record one out, and allowed four runs, three earned.
Aaron Shoup pitched the next 1.2 innings before
Zach Robinson,
Zach Stevenson, and
Adam Eskil combined to throw one-run of four innings of relief.
Ryne Oshiro got the lead-off bat for SMU, going two-for-three while
Colton Peha and Hill each collected one hit.
