Oslin, in his first collegiate meet, wasted no time and led the Saints for most of the race. Finishing fourth overall, Oslin completed the 8k in 27:51.00 minutes and placed third in standings.

Finishing in a pack was three Saints' runners, led by Colton Buster (28:18.00) and Jack Farrell (28:22.00) for 10th and 11th overall. Right behind them was Miguel De LaMelena, who recorded a 28:58.00 time and 12th overall. Rounding out the team scoring for SMU was Noah Roberts, who placed 17th overall with a time of 29:15.00.

Over on the women's side, Dorney started her senior season off strong, with a second place finish and time of 24:01.00. Freshman Alyssa Robinson was second on the team and ninth overall with her mark of 26:28.00. Sadie Dalgleish finished with a time of 27 minutes flat and 12th overall. Eliza Bannister (28:32.00) and Olivia Abbott (30:41.00) concluded the team scoring with finishes of 19th and 21st respectively.

"Lindsey ran a great race from start to finish," said head coach Jim Brewer. "She started off just behind the front runners and managed to pass one halfway into the race. What was really impressive is that she ran a 1:11 minute personal record on this course and moved up to our fifth best finish in school history at this race. Her summer training and consistent running over the last couple years is paying off."

In the team standings, the Saints finished third on both sides, with the men at 49 points and the women at 60.

The next race for the Saints is their home meet, on September 22. Nearly 20 teams will compete in the race with the first race starting at 9:00 a.m.
