BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Second ranked Western Washington continued their impressive start in 2019 against Saints, taking down Saint Martin's in straight sets on Thursday night.
An early opening run by the Vikings quickly established the tone for the match, as the Vikings cruised to a 25-14 first set victory.
In the second set, Saint Martin's was able to hang closer on the scoreboard until a final run by the Vikings sealed the set at 25-15.
Western Washington continued to dominate the match, and shut down the Saints in the third and final set 25-8.
Kylie Coon led the team in kills with seven, while
Kylie Alos managed 16 digs, and
Alyssa Bartlett had 18 assists.
The Saints travel out of the country for their next match, heading to Simon Fraser on Saturday night. First set is set for 7:00 p.m. with live stats and video available on smusaints.com.
