BILLINGS, Mont. – After a slow start, the Saints' offense started to find its footing against Montana State Billings in the second and third set. However, the rally came too late as MSUB completed the three set sweep.
 
The Yellowjackets opened the match on a 9-1 run, and used the early push to defeat the Saints 25-11 in set number one.
 
Saint Martin's responded in the opening of the next set, and held a lead until the 14-13 mark. At that point, Montana State Billings rattled off eight of the next 10 points to lift themselves to a 25-18 set victory.
 
In the finale, MSUB quickly jumped out to a 10-4 lead; however, the Saints slowly cut into the score and eventually tie it at 24-24. Following the Saints' 9-1 run, the Yellowjackets were able to score the two final points to secure the sweep 26-24.
 
On the night, in only her third match back in 2019, Emily Gooding led the way with nine kills, five digs, and three blocks. Mackenzie Carter and Ililani Kamaka combined for 14 kills from the outside, while Alyssa Bartlett collected 14 assists. Kylie Alos led the defense with 11 digs.
