"We competed pretty well today in both games," said head coach
Kelly Gau. "All pitchers did a great job with Tanner and Aaron throwing strikes and going deep into their games. Mickey was competitive as usual and huge to get the late inning win. There were quite a few opportunities in each games to produce runs. In the second game, we did a better job cashing in, though we still left a lot on the board in each (inning). As a group, we need to continue to build confidence and stay aggressive at the dish, especially with runners in scoring position."
To open the day, College of Idaho jumped on the board early with four runs, coming off a single through the left side, a double down the right field line, and a single through the right side. After the first, Inouye settled into the game, and tossed six more scoreless innings.
