Saints Picked Third In Preseason Poll - Gathering 32 votes overall, the Saints stand poised near the top of GNAC standings, with unanimous favorite Simon Fraser (49 votes), and Western Washington (38) taking the top two spots. Following the Saints was fourth place Seattle Pacific (29), Montana State Billings (23), Concordia (16), and lastly Northwest Nazarene (9).

2019 Saints At A Glance - Seniors Madsen and Navarro look to close out their historic careers with an equally historic season. Madsen, who is second all-time in school history in goals (29), and third all-time in points (63), led the team last year in every offensive category. His 13 goals, and 30 points helped Madsen to his second first team All-Conference and second All-Region selection awards. In the midfield, the Saints will be anchored by four-year starter Navarro, who is the program's all-time leader in assists at 21. In 2018, Navarro punched in six goals, with nine assists for 21 points as the Saints won nine games, the most since 2011.

Returning to help lead the charge will be All-Conference players Cayman John and Jose Marquez in the back line. John saw an offensive explosion in his sophomore campaign, scoring six goals, with four assists. Marquez played in all 18 matches, accruing over 1,600 minutes and helping the Saints to two shutout victories.

Saint Martin's also brings back many key contributors from last year, including forward Jason Fairhurst, defenders Stephen Todd Murray JR, and Collin LaBranche, along with midfielder Nick Phillips. The four combined for over 5,500 minutes of action last year, and contributed three goals and four assists.

The Saints will have to replace All-Conference forward Alexis Lopez and goalkeeper Griffin Small. However, with eight returning starters, four of which were All-Conference selections, the Saints looked poised to make a run at the top of the always difficult GNAC conference.

Nothing But Net For Madsen – Entering the 2019 season, Madsen has scored 29 goals in just two seasons. His 29 goals are third most in all of Division-II for returning players, and ranks first in conference.

Chasing History – Madsen currently sits tied for second all-time in school history in goals scored with 29. He trails only Xan Nixon by one goal for a share of the record, and two goals away from the outright record. Madsen is also third all-time in points (63), and sits behind Nixon (68) and Witzel (64) in the record book.

Navarro With The Helping Hand – Entering 2019, Sebastian Navarro had already etched his name at the top of the Saints' record book with 21 assists. After averaging 10 assists each of the last two seasons, Navarro looks to become the all-time leader in GNAC history, currently held by Alex Rowley of Simon Fraser with 26.
