DUPONT, Wash. – The Saints dropped 12 strokes off their game from round one to round two; however, despite the improved play, SMU remained third on the leaderboard at the Puget Sound Invitational.

Kathryn Crimp, who led the Saints after the first round with a 76, shot 81 in the second round to finish second overall in the field at 157. Michael Morris saw a five-shot improvement going from an 85 in the opening round, to 80 in the second round. She finished tied for seventh overall.
Joining her was
Hoku Nagamine, who had one of the largest improvements in the field, going from an 88 in round one, to 77 in the second round for a total of 175 and tying for seventh overall.
Jada French and Madison Prigge wrapped the scores for the Saints, shooting 85 and 89 in the second round for a 13th and 14th place finish respectively.
"We improved our team score today but wasn't enough to keep up with the winner," said head coach
Bob Grisham. "I am very pleased with Hoku's play as she played the back nine at two under par for a career best 77."
The Saints as a team finished 335-323-658 overall and placed third in the field.
