ELLENSBURG, Wash. – As the match went on, Central Washington's offense gradually got more efficient as the Saints were unable to counter, falling in straight sets 25-22, 25-19, and 25-16.
 
Emily Gooding collected another team-leading 10 kill performance, followed by Gracie Brenner and Tia Allen at seven. Brenner also led the team in blocks at five, and one ace. Abigail Halstead, who got the start today in the back row, led the way with 15 digs.
 
Saint Martin's (7-11, 1-8 GNAC) led in the early goings of set one 7-4 before Central Washington (10-5, 6-3) went on a 6-1 run to take the lead. The Saints managed to work the lead down to as little as 23-22 on a service ace from Brenner. But back-to-back kills from Central Washington sealed the set.
 
Another 6-1 run by Wildcats in the first points of the second set established a lead for CWU. Saint Martin's threaten multiple times down the stretch to tie the set, but the Wildcats held on for the 25-19 set victory.
 
In the finale, Central Washington broke open a lead halfway through the set and pulled away in the final side outs to wrap up the match victory.
