Saints Fall on the Road Against Seattle Pacific - The Saints were outpaced in their 5-0 loss by a Seattle Pacific team that has not lost a home game yet this season.

The Falcons (12-1-1, 9-1-1 GNAC) put the pressure on early with three shots on goal before scoring their first goal in the 12th minute of play. Saint Martin's (3-12-0, 2-9-0 GNAC) responded to the goal with a shot from Taylor Goodpaster but the shot went wide of the goal. The remainder of the first half was a defensive battle as neither team scored and the first half ended, 1-0, in favor of Seattle Pacific.

SPU pulled away in the second half with two quick goals in the 56th minute of play. They scored two more goals late in the match to cement their win.

Jolley Scores First Career Goal In Loss To MSUB - Saint Martin's fell behind early to Montana State Billings on the road, and a second half goal proved to be too much for the Saints to overcome as they fell 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

It was the Saints' final shot on goal that reached the back of the net when Jordyn Jolley scored off a corner from Taylor Goodpaster. The Yellowjackets failed to control the ball, and Jolley capitalized on the error, scoring her first career goal.

Ali Campigotto played a full 90 minutes in goal, recording seven more saves on 14 shots faced. Goodpaster recorded four of the Saints' 12 shots in the match, and four different Saints landed one shot on frame.

First Career Shutout – In the Saints’ 2-0 victory over Western Oregon, goalie Soph Mendoza recorded their first career shutout on 11 shots faced, and two saves.

Deadly From PK – Kiersten Madsen continues to fool keepers and punching in goals. Since the start of the spring 2021 season, Madsen has recorded 7 goals, five coming from PKs, and she is a perfect 5-for-5 on PK attempts.

6 in a Row – To date, the Saints’ six straight goals (four against Evergreen State, and two against Western Oregon) was the longest consecutive goals scored by SMU. The streak was broken with a goal by Simon Fraser.

GNAC Leaders – Maddie Wolff’s three goals is tied for eighth most. Ali Campigotto is tied for fourth with one shutout, and fifth in saves at 37, and sixth in save percentage at .725.

Breaking Records – In their win over Evergreen State, the Saints recorded a school record 34 shots.

Clean Sheet Preseason – In the Saints’ three preseason matches, Saint Martin’s outscored their opponents by nine, while allowing zero goals. Saint Martin’s put up five goals in their first match against Centralia College, followed by three against Bushnell, and one against Northwest.

Nine Saints Named To GNAC WSOC All-Academic Team - Nine Saints were named to the GNAC All-Academic team presented by Barnes & Noble College.

Jenna Ramirez, a nursing major from Waipahu, Hawaii, marked her third appearance to the All-Academic team, the most of any Saint with a 3.42 GPA. Ramirez was one of 22 student-athletes to earn the award three or more times in their career.

Four Saints were named for the second time in their careers, including Ali Campigotto, a sophomore business major from Gig Harbor, Washington with a 3.89 GPA. Taylor Goodpaster, a sophomore exercise sports science major from Fife, Washington, earned her spot with a 3.33 GPA. Joining them for a second time was Justine Pauly, a sophomore nursing major from Camas, Washington, with a 3.97 GPA, and Maddie Wolff, a sophomore civil engineering major from Longview, Washington at a 3.73 GPA.

Four more Saints earned their first ever All-Academic awards. Ellison Kephart, a freshman nursing major from Anacortes, Washington, carried the team's highest-GPA at a perfect 4.00 mark. Rachel Kimura, a freshman business major from Federal Way, Washington, earned her spot with a 3.71 GPA. Stephanie Roestel, a freshman political science major from Mukilteo, Washington, and Alyssa Twogood, a freshman pre-nursing major from Graham, Washington, were selected with 3.74 and 3.64 GPAs respectively.

To qualify for the GNAC All-Academic Teams, presented by Barnes & Noble College, nominees must be of sophomore eligibility or greater, have a minimum cumulative GPA or 3.20 or greater, be a letterwinner on their team and must be in their second year at the nominating institution.

Thanks to eligibility waivers provided by the NCAA due to the cancellation of the 2020 season, players who continue to hold freshman eligibility but are in their second season of competition at the nominating institution were eligible for selection to the GNAC All-Academic Team.
