LACEY, Wash. – Despite battling the elements on Saturday, nothing could stop Saint Martin's men's soccer forward Jason Fairhurst. The senior connected for both Saints' goals and for his effort, was named the GNAC Player of the Week on Monday.

Fairhurst's game began with a goal in the 39th minute to put SMU on top right before the half. His second goal of the match, and eighth of the year came in the 71st minute to seal the 2-1 victory for the Saints. He also led the team with six shots on the day.
 
For Fairhurst the award marks the first of the season, and the first of his career.
 
Saint Martin's returns to action for the final week of the 2021 season on Thursday, hosting Seattle Pacific at 2:00 PM.
