Abby Runyon continued to silence opposing bats, tossing another one-run gem in the Saints' doubleheader split on Sunday.
Western Washington managed to take the first game off the Saints with 8-0 results. The game was just a one run affair until the top of the fifth when the Vikings scored another seven runs.
Saint Martin's managed to get their revenge in the second game behind the arm of Runyon. Runyon didn't allow a run until the final frame of the game, tossing seven innings, one run and six hits.Â
Kylee Vanderbout and
Olivia Schmidt delivered the two runs the Saints scored in the fourth. Vanderbout singled to the catcher, and Schmidt drove in a run with a single to left field for a 2-1 victory.
