LACEY, Wash. - After Humboldt State opened with three runs, the Saints scored 11 straight runs to shutdown the Lumberjacks in five innings.

It was a team effort in the win with SMU collecting 11 runs on 13 hits. The Saints struck in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs in the frame. 

Saint Martin's continued to pile on at the plate, adding two in the fourth and another four in the fifth. 

Julia Lucas delivered four RBIs on the day with her two hits. Emery Norwood and Megan Convery set the table at the top of the lineup, collecting four runs.

Abby Runyon started and got the win in the circle. After a bumpy first inning, the righty settled in and shutdown the Jacks' offense with four shutout innings.

The Saints host Western Washington on Saturday and Sunday at Saints Field. The first game will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10 with live stats and video available at smusaints.com.
