Last Race Recap - Sara Sabra quickly made her mark as the top runner for the Saints, blowing away the competition with a time of 15:35 minutes. She placed 11 seconds faster than second place, and a whopping 34 seconds ahead of her teammate in third place.
Ali Saucedo was that teammate who finished third overall with a time 16:09.
Naomi Hartley placed 11
th overall with her mark of 17:07, while
Kya Ramirez was 15
th at 17:26.
Aliya Ankeny closed out the top-five for the Saints with a time of 17:47, and a 17
th place finish.
Over on the men's side, SMU saw another runner take home the number one finish. Freshman
Kainalu Pagente in his first ever collegiate meet was the top finisher with a time of 19:03, beating out second place by two seconds.
Jack Farrell returned with a third-place finish with a time of 19:12, and newcomer
Lance Slichko was 12
th with a time of 20:03.
Michael Harwell finished right behind him at 20:06, and
Rudu Wani come in fifth on the team, and 20
th overall at 20:39.
As a team, Saint Martin's won the men's title with a score of 42 points, followed by Pacific Lutheran (57), host school Puget Sound (75), Seattle Pacific (89), and Whatcom CC (94).
For the women, the Saints placed second overall with 44 points, 10 behind leader Pacific Lutheran at 34. Pierce College (72), Puget Sound (82), and Olympic College (121) closed out the standings.
