MOSCOW, ID – Saint Martin's earned four podium finishes at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open, highlighted by
Kainalu Pagente's second place finish in the men's 3000 and
Sara Sabra's second place finish in the women's 3000.
FINAL RESULTS
Pagente (8:46.09) got to share the podium with his teammate as
Lance Slichko finished third in the men's 3000 with a time of 8:49.81.
Isaac Cortes finished ninth with a time of 9:03.46 to give Saint Martin's three top-10 finishers in the event.
On the women's side of the 3000, the Saints had a strong showing as all three runners finished sixth or better. Sabra (10:45.83) was the only podium finisher but
Naomi Hartley finished fifth with a time of 11:12.89 and
Kya Ramirez rounded up the pack with a sixth place finish and a time of 11:37.15.
Andrew Boyd also ran his way to a podium finish in the men's 60m hurdles with a time of 8.64 in the qualifier and 8.61 in the final to earn a third place finish.
Michael Russell finished seventh in the men's 200m dash with a time of 22.92.
Cassidy Walchak-Sloan ran a 1:01.75 in the women's 400m dash to earn a sixth place finish. She also finished fifth in the 800m with a time of 2:19.99.
In the women's high jump,
Eden Mortensen cleared 1.48m after passing 1.43m and 1.38m. She failed all three of her attempts at 1.53m to earn herself an eighth place finish in the at height of 4-ft 10.25-in.
Phoebe Young and
Brianna Cabrera both finished fifth in the women's pole vault with a height of 10ft.
Kierrla Yates and
Claire Skaggs finished eighth after clearing 2.90m but failing to clear 3.05m to finish at a height of 9-ft 6.25-in.
The Saints next meet will be the WSU Open on February 3-5th in Pullman, WA.
