SMU Fall on the Road in Nampa After Two First Half Goals

10/15/2022 11:59:00 PM

Box Score NAMPA, Idaho. – The Saint Martin's women's soccer team came up short on Saturday afternoon, falling by a score of 2-0 against Northwest Nazarene (10-1-3, 8-0-2 GNAC).

Both of the strikes by the Nighthawks came in the 10th to 20th minute range, with the first coming just six seconds into the 11th as Savanna Herz directed it in. Eight minutes later in was Makayla Roggow who splashed the back of the night for the first time on her season.

Those were not the only opportunities for Saint keeper Ali Campigotto though, as she had a total of eight saves, her second highest in a single game on the season. The NNU defense was nearly impenetrable as SMU could only tally two shots on goal in the contest, one from Rachel Kimura and one from Shelby Clayton.

The Saints are back at home on Thursday, October 20th, with a 2 PM kickoff against Seattle Pacific (8-4-1, 6-3 GNAC).
