CHAMBERS BAY, Wash. –
Alauna Carstens led the way for the Saints as the highest finisher with a new PR at the NCAA D-II Pre-Nationals Meet.

Carstens finished the women's 6k individual with a time of 21.22.6, narrowly missing a top-10 finish by a mere two-tenths of a second for an 11th place finish.
Behind her,
Cassidy Walchak-Sloan (22:17.5),
Sara Sabra (22:40.8), Alisha Saucedo (23:42.1),
Naomi Hartley (24:07.8),
Kya Ramirez (24:28.0) and
Courtney Osborn (24:50.1) rounded up the pack for the Saints.
In the women's 6k open,
Abby Burton was the first finisher for SMU with a time of 27:42.8 and
Faith Linthicum finished soon after her with a new PR time of 28:20.2.
In the men's 8k open,
Steven Baltz was the first runner to cross the finish line for Saint Martin's with a time of 27:37.3 and a 61st place finish.
Ryan Lange (28:05.2) and
Jaskaran Dhatt (29:06.7) were the next two SMU runners and set new PR's for themselves.
In the men's 8k individual
Isaac Cortes (25:52.40) and
Kainalu Pagente (26:03.6) were the first two finishers for Saint Martin's.
Michael Harwell set a new PR with himself with a time of 26:13.4. Eli Dale (26:19.5),
Jack Farrell (27:01.1),
Rudu Wani (27:07.3) and
Lance Slichko (27:31.0) rounded up the group for SMU.
Saint Martin's finished 13th out of 28 teams in the women's 6k team results and 19th out of 27 teams in the men's 8k team results.
The Saints next meet will be the GNAC Championships in Monmouth, Oregon on November 5th.
