SAN FRANCISCO – In their third meet of the season, the Saints traveled down to San Francisco to complete in the San Francisco State Invitational.

In both the men's 8k and the women's 6k, SMU finished fourth overall out of 11 teams with average times of 26:02.34 and 22:35.64.
In the men's race,
Isaac Cortes was the first finisher for Saint Martin's with a time of 25:40.1 for a 13th place finish. After him,
Kainalu Pagente finished 15th with a time of 25:44.8.
Michael Harwell (26:13.6) and John Farrell (26:14.7) were the next two finishers for SMU. Eli Dale (26:18.5),
Rudu Wani (26:46.4) and
Lance Slichko (27:04) rounded up the pack for Saint Martin's.
For the women,
Alauna Carstens was fifth overall and first for the SMU with a time of 21:48.4.
Cassidy Walchak-Sloan also finished in the top-10 finishing seventh with a time of 21:57.5.
Sara Sabra was the next finisher for Saint Martin's with a time of 22:18.6 and a 12th place finish overall. Alisha Saucedo (23:12.2),
Naomi Hartley (23:14.5),
Kya Ramirez (23:52.2) and
Courtney Osborn (24:29.6) were all the finishers for the Saints.
The Saints will take some time off to prepare before the NCAA D-II Pre-Nationals in Chambers Bay, WA on October 22.
