Romeoville, IL - The Saint Martin's cross country teams are gearing up for this week's race at Lewis Crossover all the way out in Romeoville, Illinois.

SMU is excited to include this meet in their schedule to get so new exposure to other teams from other states. While the Saints get ready for this new exciting meet, we ask Coach Matt Lowe what he thought about this new meet in their schedule, "It's an incredible opportunity to see how well we fair against some great competition at a meet that will undoubtably be the largest we'll have competed with 34 Division II teams across multiple conferences and regions. This will be the first time facing off against most of these teams, but we have a great racing strategy planned out and we are prepared to run our races effectively and show that we can size up against some of the best in Division II.".

The meet's director at Lewis University gave some more insight on what the meet's competition was looking like. According to Lewis University there are 34 school from 13 states that have committed to the meet, as of that moment they had nine teams nationally ranked/received national votes for the men's and 10 teams national ranked/received national votes for the women's side. Not only will this meet have national ranked teams, but also regionally rank, for the men's they had six regionally ranked teams, as well as six for the women's. The meet will have regional representation from six out of the eight regions, this will be quite the meet to attended for all these teams.
